GENTLE VIBES
Vibes + SofT DRUMS LITE
By Jon Meyer
- "vibes + Soft Drums Lite".
Gentle Vibes captures the soft, delicate tone of vintage vibraphone mallets and reimagines them as a dreamy, lo-fi instrument. Originally released as a Kontakt prototype, this standalone plug-in has been thoughtfully rebuilt with expanded controls and a sleek interface. Subtle tape-style wow and flutter, adjustable tone-shaping filters, and a uniquely expressive sustain function allow for deep customization—without sacrificing the warmth and simplicity at its core. Whether you’re scoring an intimate moment or layering textures into a lush soundscape, Gentle Vibes offers a nostalgic, vibey palette designed to inspire.

Do the Prototypes require Kontakt?
No! While our beefier commercial libraries work in the free Kontakt Player, the Prototypes are plug-ins that work on MAC and PC in all major DAWS.Â
What about Jon's old Kontakt Prototypes?
Our plan is to release both new sounds and revisit many of the old classics. Let us know which of the old sounds need a makeover!
Where can I Purchase Jon's Kontakt Instruments?
Soft Drums and PostFelt will soon migrate over to Somerville Sounds. In the meantime, they are still available at jonmeyermusic.com
