Woven Cello is the second instrument in the Woven series, recorded in the same room as Woven Violin. Cellist Cara Fox played every phrase, swell, and long note, guided by Woven Violin artist Avery Bright. Real players, one room, instruments that belong together.

THE ARTIST | Cara Fox
Cara Fox is a cellist, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger based in Nashville. A session and touring player since 2008, she has recorded with Maren Morris, Carly Rae Jepsen, Little Big Town, Ingrid Michaelson, Ben Rector, and Cody Fry, and has toured with Grammy winner Sara Bareilles, Gungor, Jars of Clay, and Sleeping At Last. Woven Cello was recorded in Avery Bright’s studio, the same room where Woven Violin was made, and carries the approach the series is built on: real phrases, real swells, real breath between notes, captured close. Every line in the library is her performance, which is why it plays like a person and not a preset.

Do I need the full version of Kontakt?
No. Woven Cello runs in the FREE Kontakt Player, but it must be version 8 or higher. Kontakt 7 will not load it, free or paid.
I have Kontakt 7. What are my options?
Update to the free Kontakt Player 8 in Native Access. It installs alongside your existing Kontakt and is free.
After purchase I received a license key email. Now what?
Download Native Access, click “+ Add Serial,” and follow the prompts. Woven Cello downloads and installs from there.
Is my Mac too old to install Woven Cello?
Woven Cello requires Kontakt 8, which currently needs macOS 14 or higher. Full system requirements are below.
Is it all phrases, or can I play it normally?
Both. Phrases and swells carry the motion, and drones, harmonics, and shorts cover sustained and traditional playing. Weave Mode lets you blend them on one keyboard.
